Default 11.5" clutch

I have a McLeod 11.5" clutch pressure plate and alluminum flywheel. So far it appears that Centerforce, McLeod, and Hays offer an 11" or a 12"My throwout bearing froze up and damaged the clutch pressure plate fingers .The disk is thin .Booth surfaces look great. The steel insert in the flywheel is only 11.5" . I need to mention the 1 3/8" x10 spline input shaft top loader trans. I just want to keep what I have.Any input?

Thumbs up Mcloud Rebuild?

Mike
A few years ago I was experiencing what sounded like a noisy throwout bearing in my car. It was equipped with Mcloud Aluminum flywheel, their street strip pressure plate and driven disc. The throwout bearing had damaged the fingers on the pressure plate ("LONG STYLE"). They were worn heavily where they contacted the bearing. I took it to a large rebuilder on the premise of finding new fingers to replace the damaged ones. He took one look turned away and pulled a dusty box off a shelf and had me fixed up in a flash. About $8.00. Sure alot cheaper than buying a new pressure plate, especially since there was no other
damage to it.
Just an idea that might help.
Hope this helps....Rick

Default Actually talked to someone

Talked to Les in rebuild at McLeod Industries. To Rebuild pressure plate $85, replace the 11.5 steel heatshield in alluminum flywheel $85, Machine and install a 12" heatsheild =convert to 12" $120. I'm going to convert my flywheel to a 12" and have my plate rebuilt and disk replaced . Next time I can go with an 11" 11.5" or 12". In the future shurely someone local will have the parts I want on the shelf , if I need .
