I've got one of those 'aluminum 1 1/2 ton racing jacks' that everyone sells. I burst the seal cranking on it while fully extended (guess I was hoping for more). I got their repair kit. 2 o-rings inside were completely blown. I guess the space shuttle taught us how much an o-ring can do!
I know some people don't like them because they're cheap and don't lift a lot but if you add oil from the get go, purge the air half way jacked (not what the sticker says) and adjust the pressure relief valve  , it will be a solid little jack.
Only problem is that it's about 5 inches short for the kwiklift.  I've been eying that sucker lately.
