Those look just like mine. The ones I got to replace them are "Moog K90118 Sway Bar End Link Kit" NOTE: I haven't tried these yet! They look like they may fit, but you know how that goes... Tom |

Moog end links

Sorry - I managed to repair the E-M end link and the second one hasn't broken yet. It may be weeks or more before it gets into my list's top area LOL The Volvo links aren't terribly expensive. Perhaps you could pick one up and compare more closely than I have. Or take the broken one to a parts store. If you have a sympathetic local parts store you may even get to see some other similar ones. Meanwhile I have a heating up 557, some Cobra ball joint grease retainers, tires for the Cobra and so on. Let us know if you have success! Tom |

I am new to this forum. I have some experience with front suspension design, I will try to give you an idea as to why they brake. I can only assume, I am only looking at the design from a photo.
It appears to me that the sway bar link is not align properly, thus side loads to the link will break the weakest point, in this case the threads of the link. If you could check at ride height and see if the sway bar link as at an angle. If it is, the fix would be in moving the sway bar to a better location to align the link. This would mean, moving the sway bar back or forward. Like I said, I am only seeing the picture. |
