Trying too. More modeling than "animating". I started using Cinema 4D XL--GREAT program. I was using Lightwave, and to some extent, Animation Master, but 4D XL is much better.
I have so many other chores though that I hardly ever get time to do it anymore. If you have kids you'll understand. 
I'd like to get back to it as soon as I can so I don't start forgetting things. They say the memory is the first thing to go.
