 Ron - I am not running a Holley, I have an edelbrock carb, but I too have stripped off the choke mechanism, and milling down the air horn is on the list for this winter.
 Car can be a little reluctant to start, but nothing a few pumps of the throttle doesn't cure.
 
 Funnily enough, it always starts real easy when its very very cold, it's autumn, like now, when I struggle to keep the balance between it not firing up or flooding it initially.
 
 Once running, it ticks over just fine from cold.
 
 Now If I can get away with no choke in the UK, sure you can as well.
