Question Timing Mark Bracket for 351W

Does anyone know where I can obtain a bracket that will extend out past the cooling hoses so I can see the timing mark. The engine is a built 351W.

I can see the pulley marks fine, it is the top mark that is covered by the water cooling hoses. The water pump looks like a Japanese brand and that may be why this happened.

Or any other solutions? I tried to extend the paint out to the end of the bolt where I thought it should be. But, this does not seem very exact.

You can make one out of sheet aluminum in about 15 minutes.

To Peruch: thanks, they have cool stuff. Will this one actually fit though. It seems like the cooling hose is in the way. Mark

What year is your motor? Prior to 1969 1/2 the timing marks were on the drivers side. The water pump dumps out on the passenger side. After 69 1/2 the marks were changed to the passenger side. The water pump dumps out on the drivers side. I've also been looking for a timing pointer for my pre 69 1/2 351W. But I have also determined that i will have to make my own.
