American fibreglas it is!

Your comments fit the car to a tee, except for the key. It is a hardware store type key , but the ignition switch is in the dash.

I do have a digital camera but my scanner doesn't work most of the time. I'll try and get some pics.

Thanks all

I'm gonna run with American Fibreglas

Re: Its a....

Hi Larry,

I might have a possibility for you to check in to. Based on the limited information you provided so far about the car, suspension, wheels, differential, etc....

Possible Answer?:
I bet your car is a (JCF) Cobra from John's custom fabrication. JCF is located in Coose Bay Oregon.

Everything you have described so far, where you live/area, leads me to believe it is a JCF slab-sided Cobra. John builds nice cars, most have 9" rears (some are 4-links setups), usually run 302s, and the other details match too. One other way to tell is to call John directly in Coose Bay.

If you can't find the number John in Coose Bay (JCF/John's Custom Fabrication), just let me know, I have a brochure around here somewhere.

Re: what is it?

Hey Larry,

did you figure out what kind of car it is?

Harris 01-19-2003 10:53 AM

Possibly a JCF

Deconney:
I'm gonna go with the John's Custom Fabrication concept. The car is a slabside and looks exactly like the light blue car that Brent displayed in his first picture in his reply.

I want to thank everyone who tried to help me

Hey Larry,

good deal. My friend told me it takes a while to get one - in some cases. And, another guy we know said it took way too long for him as well. Maybe John is caught up now / or going faster these days. IMHO: be sure to put some things in writing about (when it will be done and delivered to you) with the price reflecting that delivery time. re: reasonable deadlines... Good Luck.
