I just saw it on 2 Guys Garage.

Red...351 Cleveland...aluminum hoodscoop. Jag front and rear.

Any idea who/what this car was?

I caught the tail end of that episode. Couldn't tell what make it was. It had a round-tube chassis. The radiator was mounted vertically (as apposed to an angle). Contemporary?

I must say, I liked their choice of solid red and no stripe!

The show I saw was on the Discovery channel. It was a red ERA. It's been a while so I'm not sure, but I think it was a smaal block???

I caught the last half of the show. Good looking car. The interior wasn't done yet. They said two or three times that the Cobra was his own car. Anybody know the tall guy's name? Maybe we can invite him to the fling.

It was a 351C. Notice the engine didn't make much noise during the initial running. Bet they had the pipes hooked up to exhaust hoses. It sounded as it should when they took the car out for its first ride.

That's "Dave Bowman" (Tall southern guy) and "Sam Memolo" (Short guy from New England with the beard).

They documented the build up of the Cobra a few years ago on one of their old shows, either "Crank & Chrome" or "Shadetree Mechanic".

I believe that it is a Lone Star. I have some info from Lone Star Classics and they refer to the build up on "Shade tree Mechanics" which is what the show used to be called....I think.

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it....I think...

I'd be willing to bet it was a Contemporary. Jag torsion bar front end and Jag rear. Just like my Contemporary. It also had the correct shape. ERA is not the only replica with the right look.

I think Unique supplied a car to one of the shows in the past.

I think Kelly might be right on this one. A couple of years ago, the Shade tree boys had, in one of their episodes, the initial build of a Cobra rep. They said then it was a Lone Star and thanked them for donating the car. They got very little done on the car in the initial episode--just describing how they would build the car, etc. It was not a continuous espisode and I never saw a subsequent piece that dealt with the build. Perhaps, they started over with another car. Who knows. But it wasn't long after that airing that they changed to the "Crank and Chrome" boys with a different format.

Thanks, Crankster. It might have been further back then I think, then. That Lone Star was pretty rough.

Unlike most girls who are described as "ditzy", this one unfortunately looked the part of female mechanic , if I may be so bold. I watched the show as well.

I checked their web site. Lots of info about the show, lots of pictures, etc. but no mention of what make the car is. No "contact us" option on the site either.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed how quiet the car was. I just assumed it was due to the small block.

It was a sweet looking ride, though.
