Hi
I believe bob Putnam at ERA has a pic or instructions of the procedure

There has been discussion on the topic in that the "top to the back" rule for tightening is best remembered. That means the topmost ear on a spinner is driven towards the back of the car to tighten the wheel on.

Now for wiring, one ear is drilled and then wired to the spoke of the wheel in such a manner as to leave a small amount to slack allowing the wire to not look TAUGHT. Wired also in the same top to the back configuration.
The reasoning behind this is that the wire served more as an indicator of the knockoff loosening and backing off, if the safety wire ever suddenly became TAUGHT.

People here also discussed the different techniques and preferences of the front side or inside of the wheel route etc.

You may firn the thread in a search....have you looked??
Good old Bob P at ERA......

FINISH LINE HAS A TOOL FOR MAKING THE HAYWIRE TWIST REAL EASY FOR ABOUT $35. EVERYONE WITH SPINNERS NEEDS ONE FOR THEIR TOOLBOX.
