I have the two wipers on my car but very seldom have the blades on. I turn them on once a year to see if they still work. It is to hot to drive here now and I don't drive in the rain. It makes a cleaner windshield to just carry the wiper blades in the trunk.

Rainex of course. Who needs wipers?
Actually, wipers are on my long list of items. Don't think I'll get to them for at least another year. This is my third year on the road and have only driven twice in heavy rain; fast enough so I did not get wet. I guess I'll go with the MG setup unless

I do drive it in the rain, and have top, sidecurtains, heater/defroster so I can do so. Contrary to popular belief, this light car with fat tires doesn't turn into a hockey puck on wet roads with the right tires. Virtually all of the 17" performance tires are made for wet and dry road traction. Anyway, using the OEM Lucas mechanical setup. Make sure to get the correct wiring diagram because wiring the motor and switch can be tricky.
