I am not a professional painter but while in College I worked in a body shop and have only basic skills and equipment. They are both very good and both stink while you are applying them. Both are extremely easy to use and give excellent results.
Base coat/ clear coat is the only way to go. The clear will harden over night and "if necessary you can use hot soapy water and 1200 grit wet/dry sandpaper to perfect your finish. Buffing is a breeze, I used 3-M's Perfect I, II, & III. Good luck.
