I run a TKO and I can't say I've any complaints about it being noisy, maybe I just can't hear it over the side pipes.

I also run a TKO (not a TKO2 - should be no difference in noise) and have underslung exhausts. I can "just" hear the gearbox in 2nd and 3rd at lower speeds, that's all.

Much more noise from the jag rear end, which is normal.

I remember someone saying that the TKO has straight-cut gears. I find this hard to believe, but if true, this would account for the whine. All straight-cut gears are noisy and it is nothing to be alarmed about.

Can someone confirm straight cut gears in TKO?

The tko does not have straight cut gears. It should not make any whine noise. Could be a bearing issue internally. Scott

Does the noise come and go with gear selection?
If it remains constant, I would suspect rear end.
My TKO makes no noise I can hear over exhaust and engine sounds.
