Lucas Ignition Switch Problem
I'm finishing up my SPF, and ran into trouble with what I think might be the ignition switch. When I turn the switch to engage the starter, the starter engages ok...but after that, nothing I do will disengage the starter, except pulling the battery cable. If the car starts, the starter continues, if I turn the switch completely off, the starter continues turning the engine over. When I pull the battery cable and hook it up again, it doesn't run the starter until I turn the key to the start position, and the problem starts all over again.
I replaced the solenoid on the firewall, but that didn't fix it. I think it must be the switch.
Any different ideas? Those darn Lucas electrics!
