Default Smiths Fuel Pressure fitting ?

I noticed today that the threaded fitting where the fuel line goes on a Smiths fuel pressure guage does not seem to be a standard AN size. Close to a #4, but a tad smaller. Do I need an adaptor, or is a special hose needed? (Guageguys.com says a "sender" is needed)

I am running an Autometer Fuel Isolator in between the fuel line and guage, and it uses #4 fittings. Thanks in advance.

The smith guage is from good old England so I would say you need a BSP British pipe adapter. Pegasus sells them along with a lot of other fitting co.

Oh those lovely Brits . Thanks Fred. I will try Pegasus, and I also have one item on backorder at Nisongers, so between the two, I may be set now that I know.

The water temp adapter is a fine piece of work also, they must have spent at least 3 second designing that.

Do you know something I don't know on the water temp?? Are they still in payback mode for 1776? Instead of FTF, it's about to be FTB, except for Wilf.

The smith water Temp takes a special adapter. One end is British pipe thread and the other is US pipe, also its a straight US pipe and not tapered. They will go in either way but one way it will leak and the other it won't.

Boy oh boy, I had to use Smiths .

Great catch Fred. An adaptor is needed for water temp, and one can be used for the oil temp as well. Nisonger has them. Nisonger does not have the fuel one, and Pegasus is who they recommend.

Hope all these guages work when it hooked up
