Horn problem

Hi Guys,

When I built my car a few years back, I ended up with 2 electrical gremlins. One was a right turn indicator problem that turned out to be a bad ground (thanks Steve R) and the second was the horn.

This weekend I decided that it was time to fix that one last gremlin...hey I never use the horn so it never bothered me.

I pulled out my multi meter and started checking for current.

I have 12v to the horn button
I have 12v leaving the horn button when I press it
I have 12v comming out of the dash
I have 12v at the horn terminal
I have NO SOUND from the horn.

So

I decided to rig it.

I removed the horn from the mount and put it in the front seat. Then I took the hot wire from the horn button and attached it to a push button switch that I got from Finish line and tested the current.

Going into the button 12v
coming out 12v when the button is pushed.

then I took the out going wire, attached it to the horn and grounded the horn and pushed the button.....NO SOUND!

So I went to the parts store and bought a new horn....same thing.

At this point frustration has started to set in. I am open to suggestions.
