Clois Harlan - Brake Pads
Clois,
I was doing a search on Brake pads.I saw that you had ordered some Porterfield R4-S pads.
How did they work out for you ??
What pads were you using before ??
I have the 11" explorer discs and have thought about different pads.
any comments, suggestions and ideas are welcome.
Thanks

I've got 11" Explorers in the rear and 11" Granadas in the front with Wilwood calipers. Have had the Porterfields in for about two years and they work great. Very low dust, grabby and rotor friendly.

Roscoe,
After reading your post I checked out Wilwood's website.
Do you remember which calibers you put on ??
Seems to be alot to choice from.
You used the R4-S pads ??
Thanks

They are similar to the Dynalite II and, yes, I use the R4-S front and rear.

Fred,
Since I bought my pads I have ran at Road America and at St. Louis tracks and my pads are still in very good condition. I really like them a lot and they out perform the stock "Performance Friction" pads I had been running.
Roscoe, in case I haven't told you before: Thanks. Excellent choice of brake pads.
Clois

Clois & Roscoe,
Thanks for the info.
Sounds like this is the direction I need to go.
Thanks
