Default Just Too Cool Sources of Supply

I thought I would share this information with you all. At times you run across a company, that is not mainstream, which offers some products that are out of the norm in quality, diversness or whatever.

Here are two such companies that I have found...

Aircraft Spruce www.aircraftspruce.com

They offer aircraft grade materials, connectors, switches, batteries, gadgets, gizmos and such that are of the highest quality. Their catalog is huge and amazing. So is their service.

Duluth Trading www.duluthtrading.com

This is a new small firm dedicated to the working man. They offer unique clothing that is just super as well as wonderful tool rolls, tool bags, trunk tool bags and such. Their catalog is illustrated in comic book form, and is just wonderful. They have a unique item now called Contractor-grade sweatpants. Sweatpants with cargo pockets, integral belt, fly and pockets. Just super stuff. Alot of nice outdoor wear.

I have nothing to do with any of these companies, but feel their service and products are best not kept a secret.

Do you guys have other neat sources of supply?

Cheers

I can attest to the quality, service and cool factor of Spruce. A friend and I finished a four year restoration of an ex Navy training aircarft and we lived from the Spruce catalog. The last time I ordered something from them I noticed they now produce a race car catalog which I am sure is all the same stuff but it eliminates stuff that would never be used in a car. Service and shipping are pretty good for the most part with just the occasional slip. Prices are higher than what you can find for a similar item at the local auto supply but we are not talking about apples to apples here. Aircarft grade stuff is better quality and thus it will cost more. Another good place to get almost anything you could ever need is McMaster-Carr. To say they have lots of stuff is an understatement. The catalog runs past 1300 pages.www.mcmaster.com

Really cool source for everything from 4x8sheets of teflon sheets to various plexy, lexan, brass bar rails to low voltage lighting.
They will sell in any quantity at very reasonable prices. The kind of place you find things when you ask "where'd the manufacturer get that ?"
I'm just a customer not an endorser. They gave me good service.
