Ignition Wire Crimper and Stripper

I am in the market for a new Ignition Wire Stripper and Crimper for my FE engine. I am using 8.5mm wires.

Is there a standout set of combined crimpers and cutter/strippers that I should consider over all others? I would like to buy one of the best tools in this category.

Where should I look? Brand suggestions and use reports are welcome.

MSD sells what you need - available through Summitt - works as it should.

Make sure you use the double crimp, positive locking terminals.

Besides MSD---Ancor also makes them---from hand crimps to hammer style for up to "0" wire.

FWIW--Ancor's basic wire/stripper/ crimper tool is the best I've ever used IMO, for wire up to 10 gauge. A bit pricey but even better than the Kliens I have

You should ONLY USE a ratchet positive squeeze type crimper for any insulated or coated connectors if you want to be safe.
The old mash it type Kleins are wonderful for non insulated sta-kons if you use heat shrink to insulate.
You can get one of these green handled ratchet at electrical supply house. Tell them you want the kind that are used in Chemical Plants etc.

Use a coax ratcheting crimp tool kit. Greenlee and T&B both make them, as well as numerous other companies. You might try WW Grainger, or any electrical wholehouse. Stay away from the old mash type connectors, loose connections build heat. Heat is electricity's #1 enemy. If you can't find them, send me a private message. I'll get you a catalog #.
