Clutch follow-up
I bled the slave on Friday and went for a spin yesterday. It still wasn't quite right. So today, while changing the oil, I lengthened the slave's pushrod by about 1/8" per Toy Collector's phone call. I went for a spin tonight and it seemed to behave MUCH better. The shifts were easy, even when stopped, and the clutch did not slip under power (don't ask about my testing procedure for this ). Also, engaging reverse while stopped did not produce the grinding sound.
I do still have an occasional screech/rattle sound (it's slight, but it's there) under light thottle shortly after a gear is fully engaged (usually 2nd). The sound only occurs occasionally. Aside from that one sound, the tranny seems much better, granted I only tottered around town. I'll try to log a few more miles this week if time allows and keep you guys informed.
I wish to thank ALL of you for your input and suggestions. I greatly appreciate it. What a hobby.
