i few small block ford questions--.
hello everyone,
i have a few more questions because i always get the right answer. 1.right side engine mount hitting header--what to do? 2.what do you set your base timing at? 3.what spark plugs to use?-302 fuel injected-edelbrock performer aluminum heads. thank you for your help. dave |
Just an opinion, but, use a diegrinder and do a smooth cut on the motor mount to allow clearance. Paint the bare metal. If the headers have nothing other than paint on them, you can dimple the area A LITTLE.
Set the timing at 4 - 12 degrees BTDC to start. ( 4 BTDC is my personal choice just in case ) Plugs are a fit and try item for me. Check with the book and go from there. Just a thought. |
There's a small chance you could use up some bolt clearance, loosen the motor mount and force it away from the header as you re-tighten it.
