Brake Failure!!!!
While driving today I noticed my brake pedal felt much softer than normal.
I found the cause. The clevis to the front master cylinder of my dual tilton system had come unscrewed from the threaded rod on the master cylinder.
Am I the only one that this has happened to? Did I do something wrong? Most important, is there a fix?
Thanks

There is supposed to be a jamb nut tightened against the clevis.

What Rick said. I've got a Tilton setup in one of my cars and each of the clevises has a jam nut to hold the clevis in position. Remember, the rod can rotate in the master cylinder so the only thing that is going to hold the clevis in a specific position on the rod is the jam nut.
(I can live with a broken motor or tranny ... but broken brakes or steering scare the poop out of me!)

I have them also should be a jam nut on them--scary situation if the clevis backed out.

I've found so many loose bolts/parts on my car I guess next step is to pull the cover and do an inspection on the pedals.

.... I wonder what else has come loose? I think it's time to spend an afternoon checking every nut and bolt again.
