Aluminum Block Repair

I have an aluminum Ford R302 that has the #2 main bearing web cracked nearly all the way from the pan rail down to the cam and back up to the pan rail on the other side. It didn't get into the water jacket. Does anyone know who is an expert at aluminum block repair? My budget is limited but I can't afford for it not to done right the first time. Lots of people are good at welding aluminum but getting it strong without warping the piss out of it is the trick. I'm in North Carolina. Help! I'll give you a ride in the 1800 lb. 1965 Griffith the block belongs in for your trouble.

tm-jy John you are around nascar country I would stop by one of the top shops and ask the engine guy. If that donen't work Find a funnycar or top fuel shop. They have been windowing motors for years and repairing them. Did you do a search for welding aluminium? Good Luck Rick Lake

Lee Hurley as Hesco in Birmingham, AL fixed my 429 alum block. Think he also fixed a couple of other RDI blocks that were bad out of the box.
