For their aluminum heads, Edelbrock recommends 25 ft-libs for intake, and for head bolts - 110 ft-lbs top row, and 100 ft-lbs bottom row.
Sequence for torquing heads is start at the middle top bolt, and then middle bottom bolt, and tighten bolts in a spiral sequence going outward, tighting bolts in several stages, like 40 ft-lbs, 60, 80, and then final settings.
you want to tignten the intake bolts on opposite ends of the intake, like tightening wheel lug nuts. Start with the middle two bolts, then do the end opposing bolts, then the intermediate bolts.

"After jumping into an early lead, Miles pitted for no reason. He let the entire field go by before re-entering the race. The crowd was jumping up and down as he stunned the Chevrolet drivers by easily passing the entire field to finish second behind MacDonald's other team Cobra. The Corvette people were completely demoralized."
