A 1/8 hole drilled in the stat edge will do the same thing and will not show outside the engine.

So the one in yellow is for the sending unit for the temp guage? You guys have been a BIG help!

The one you have marked in yellow is for the coil mounting. The one just in front of it in the water jacket area is for the sender. The other is for the heater.

Plugged both holes for now! You guys where dead on with the sizes of the holes. Went to Home Depot yesterday and holes plugged today! WOOHOO!!! I'm so glad I'm building my motor. You learn so much!
