Default Shock Height / Ride Height

Guys, when looking at coilover shock specs.....they often mention the optimal ride height for each one. Are they generally referring to the distance from the frame to the ground......or are they referring to the distance between shock mounts?

I ran across a good buy on a set of Carreras....

I need about 14" between shock mounts. Looking up the specs on these Carreras, it says the "ride height" is optimal between 14-15". These shocks have a compressed length of 11" and an extended length of 17".

I just wanna make sure the "ride height" that's advertised on their spec sheet is the distance that I'm measuring.

Here is another vendor that may save you some time and money,

http://www.qa1.net/

Are you looking to replace the shocks on your SV? I believe this is the brand that they offer but you can get some very nice double adjustable replacements a lot cheaper than the Carreras.

I don't have SV stuff on the car...it's Carrera or QA1.

I come across a GOOD deal on the Carreras....couldn't pass it up.
