Car cover recomendation please?
Hello;
Can anyone recoemnd a good cover for my car please?
It would be nice if there was a waterproof one available that i could keep in my trunk for emergencies, but if it is a choice between waterproof and breathaable i will take the latter.
many thanks
David

mine is made by wolf. most wholesale houses have them. just google wolf car covers. mine is breathable and waterproof. i think i paid about $150.00 for it. i think its the evolution or something like that. i've had it for a few years and its like new. i've only used it indoors although its rated for both.

Try California Car Cover. I think the one I have is Superweave fabric and it works great. Its very light weight, stores easily in the trunk and sheds water the best of any cover I've ever had.

I second California Car Cover. I have 3 for my cars.
But call them and discuss b/4 you buy one. The people that answer the phones know car covers.

I have the California Car Cover Weatherguard cover. Waterproof and breathable and it is light enough that I can fold it up and stow it behind my seat.

For a cheap and compact waterproof cover to keep in the trunk for emergencies, try a Bunge #2 Tyvek. Google it or check your local Walmart.

Here's a copy of my post on another thread on a similar topic.

I just received a "Weathershield" cover from Car Cover World http://www.carcoverworld.com/ and am very happy with their product and service. We bought a cover from them last year for my wife's Miata, which was a stock item, but they wanted exact measurements for my SPF. Seemed like a lot of trouble to me, especially when they already have measurements for a Factory 5, but what the heck do I know? Also, I wanted to be sure I had a good cover for the London show and was a bit impatient, figuring maybe I had procrastinated too long. Well, it was worth the trouble and the short wait, as it fits the car perfectly. I wanted it to fit the car with the top up and the top was not shown on their dimension sheet, so I gave Jacki the last few measurements on Monday, June 5th and my cover arrived today, a week later. Charlie and Mark were very helpful over the phone also. So, for anyone who is looking for a superior quality, all weather cover which will pack into a minimum of space, I recommend checking out CCW"s website

We've had the Miata cover for almost a year now and the Cobra cover for almost 5 months and I'm still just as happy as ever with them. They're great indoors or outdoors and pack into a small bag to fit into the trunk for trips.

If you have access to Costco they carry the series 300 Wolf (Kimberly Clark)
which has a 5 year warranty and costs all of $34.95 here in Hawaii. I use
mine inside but take it with me when I head for the North Shore for the day.
I think I use the medium for the Cobra. I could probably get 5 years easy if
it wasn't for the neighbors cats shredding it on occasion. At that price I just
get another one.

I've been looking for one for a couple of years that is Cat Proof. So far, I just stuck with the cheap ones so I don't get in such a rant when the wife's cats claw it to bits. Anyone know of a cover that is cat proof? I only need it for indoors to keep the dust and dirt off.

I bought the full cover at costco for around 50 bucks but I keep a cockpit cover in the trunk just in case. It's easy to store and install. Keeps everyone honest and the interior dry.

I have the California Car cover. After trying a few "cheaper ones", I found that the CCC fit much better. They also custom fit for things like dual rollbars.

Another vote for Cal Car Covers, they fit right, look good and offer many different options if your worried about climate or scratches. IMO, spend more now...rather then crying about scratches in the paint later.
