Yates head question

I am trying to buy an intake for my new engine with Yates heads. They don't make a Yates intake for my deck height and Webers. The 351c intake can be modified to fit. The question I have is whether I need a 351c/Boss intake or a 351c/SVO intake. Which one is the most similar to the Yates style head? They are both available but the SVO is $250 more!

Dean, what's your deck height?

The deck height is 8.7. I will probably take the intake and cut it down the middle and make a 3 piece unit like some of the old Hilborn fuel injection set ups. That deck height is not typical.

Ah ha....I see your problem. The deck height needs to be 10.170".

I'll look through my Ford Racing catalogs and see what I can come up with.

Dean, are the Yates ports like the SC1 heads?

If so, I would think you would need the SVO manifold.
