Open Cali car-hauler=mini lift!
I don't know why I didn't think of this before, and I can't remember ever reading it anywhere but, an open cali car-hauler trailer makes a great mini lift! My wife's idea!
I had to do some work 'under' the Cobra and my floor jack just wasn't getting the car high enough. I was in the garage contemplating my next move, when my wife said, "just put it on the trailer"! Dough!!!!
I was considering up-grading to an enclosed trailer but, my open car-hauler has a big open area between the wheel ruts, and lifts the car just high enough to roll around under it with ease! And I have a winch to get it on if it won't go under it's own power.
And 'no jacks or jack stands'!
I backed the trailer into the garage with the car on it!
I just found this to be a real 'keeper' function with this trailer!

What an idea. I think your wife deserves flowers for that one.

Get it even higher by placing doubled up 2 x 8's under the trailer wheels...

Not after I just found out that she had obviously spent more time with that "Oh, he was just a friend" race car driving, ex-not boyfriend! She's been holding back on me!
She never told me she went to the track!

Limited slip additive
Heay Morgan, I was trying to get to the differential filler hole.
My car some times makes a clunking sound from the rear end, on low speed, hard turns. Kind'a sounds like an old Detriot-Locker.
Several people over at CSXinfo said that adding more limited slip additive would make it go away. It's way up in there, and hard to get to!
How's your car running Morgan? I hope to get to see it one day soon.

Don't you have an access panel in the trunk? Or is yours the fiberglass trunk floor?

Just like the trailer!
That kwiklift works just like my trailer without the wheels.
My trailer might be better because it's mobile, I can take it anywhere!

We know he does that. Jdog trailers that Shelby everywhere! Talk about pampered. Probably doesn't want to get the tires too dirty!!! Putting lots of miles on the truck though.

Drive?..........on the Road?.............?
Well I never heard such an outrageous thing. You mean you guys actually drive these things on a road somewhere?
Someone could get killed!
I take the trailer in case the truck breaks down. I can use the Cobra to go for help.
I'm still not sure why I bought the whole AAA membership thing?
My V10 Ford truck & Cobra both get the same 10mpg, so you see my delema don't you? The truck has power everything. And you haven't even seen the Lance cabover camper yet!
I pull the Cobra behind just for insurance!

I built a similar setup for my trailer. I'm using straight axles and the trailer sits a bit higher so you can easily slide under without jacking it up. The ramps are nearly the length of the deck and when loaded the 2 side by side fill the gap in the middle.
Cheers
