carb question

my idle mixture screws keep backing out. I know the cork or rubber gromet in there is shot. Do I have to completely disassemble the carb to replace those or is it relatively simple? never done it and would like any advice before going into surgery!

On a Holley carb unscrew the needles and the cork will sometimes come out with the needle. If not, get a little pick and pull them out. It is VERY easy to do.

Barry Grant Holley kits use a VERY small black rubbber "O" ring instead of the cork item that Holley uses. It is a very good alternative. You may be able to source them from auto parts house or Fuel injection pump repair shop. Diesel/Semi's.
