To answer the previous questions:

1. I'm running MT drag radials in the front, too. Nice to have sticky rubber on all fours.
2. MT drag radials are DOT approved = street legal.
3. I think I paid $300 for the pair to be widened. An entirely new inner half was welded in mechanically on pro auto-welding equipment (i.e. no cheap spacer was welded into the rim). They were done right...I think there are a few pics in my gallery.

Dave,

You guys would laugh and/or shudder if I took you to the place that did them. It's in the City of Monrovia, which is east of Los Angeles but not quite into San Bernardino county. A little, secluded shop that does a high volume of business, and the owner was a bit quirky. I had to keep calling him on the phone over and over to get him to commit to getting them done (I didn't have my rims for TWO MONTHS). He's one of those guys where you literally have to drive to his shop, introduce yourself, and then be prepared to visit him a week after the first time he tells you when they'll be done. I don't even have his number any longer. Maybe 496fe can help (he used the same vendor)? Sorry...

Anyway, I checked and nobody makes a drag radial (that I can find) larger than 315 in 17". That's what I have now on my 10" wheels and they fit OK, not bad enough to warrant the costs of new/modified wheels. I really like the traction the drag radials provide and don't want to shift to a non-drag radial. I do so like yanking the front tires from time-to-time..**)

Here's my Michelin Pilot Sports 335/40 17's rear, 275/35 17's front. On a full wheel turn, the fronts rub slightly on the inside on the frame. Since I've become addicted to tracking the car, the next set of tires will be a stickier compound.
