Oil leak :)
Well I have been driving 2 weeks & have discovered an oil leak right behind the intake manifold. There is a little valley on the top of the block between the manifold & bell housing, with an allen screw/plug there, maybe another spot for an oil press sensor, anyway after a some sprirted driving, there is a pretty good size puddle in this valley area. I will check better on my days off. Maybe the manifold gasket or the passenger side head gasket ? I do not know. I have a Keith Craft motor. Any help is always awsome!!
Thanks!

With a 302W, there's no oil galley plug back there. Newer engines used a flywheel sensor that that goes in that hole. Removing the plug will allow oil to drip onto the flywheel and clutch.
It's most likely an intake manifold gasket leak. I had a rear intake gasket leak a little bit, and that's where it showed first.

The large plug is normally under the back of the intake, just inside of the cork gasket. It is a plug that covers a passage to each lifter oil galley, the plug whether press cup type or allen tapered pipe, is intended to seal the galleys. Reseal as needed. Could be the gasket too.

I appreciate the help guys........thanks! I am gonna check the torque first, then make sure that plug is snug & maybe put some tape on it for a good seal, then I may need to replace the intake gasket. I had a drip at the bottom of the bell housing & I would not be surprised if it was originating here.
Thanks again!!

Sounds to me like somebody didn't put enough silicone sealer between the manifold and the gasket. If that's the case you'll have to remove the manifold and do it right.

Does anyone know a ball park for the torque on my intake manifold bolts. I have an Edlebrock on a Keaith Craft 306 Crate motor. I will check myself but if someone already knows, it would be cool!
Thanks!

One more thing, when I re torque these bolts should I loosen them a half turn, or just go from where they are now? & should I go through ALL of the bolts in the proper sequence, or just hit the 2 or 4 where the leak is!
Thanks!!

Just start where they're previously torqued at, set your torque wrench at the right spec, then start at the beginning and go through the whole sequence.

Thanks Brent!! I really appreciate the help!
Re torque'd to 20 lbs., did get some tightening done. Gonna drive her today & see if the leak slows down.
Thanks for all the assistance!!
Grazie!!
