Viking Blue Paint - HELP!
Hi Guys - greetings from the UK! I wonder if anyone might be able to help me sort out what's becomming a major headache - I'm in the UK and am having an impossible time trying to find somebody who can match the Paint Code for Viking Blue. The code that I'm trying to match is :
Viking Blue ('62-63 Ford...Mercury equiv Pacific Blue.)
Factory color code E
and equivalents are...
PPG Ditzler 12494 Code E Viking Blue.
NAPA/ Martin Senour acrylic enamel code 30Y-3233.
Sherwin-Williams code M30 J 1448.
The problem is that paint suppliers in the UK insist that '62 Ford Viking Blue is either code FF or code F (...I get told that it's the only one in the book...), which seems just plain wrong, or that they just can't use the PPG or other non-factory codes at all.
It would be great even just to get a colour sample on a piece of test card so that I could get it matched visually - I'd be happy to cover anyones costs through Paypal if they'd be able to assist with this!
Anyway, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
