Default New FE Valve Covers on 351W

I just installed new FE covers on my 351W. The installation was easy using valve cover adapters from SuperHart. The adapters well made with all counter-sunk screw holes, and they only 3/8" thick and can bearly be seen. The extra bonus was using the spark plug wire tabs on the FMS FE valve covers to route the wires like they did in the 60s.

Ford Racing now offers the tall FE type valve covers made specifically for 351s.

Gary, do you have a part number on the "tall FE type valve covers for a 351"? I've checked out the FR site and they don't indicate a specific cover.

Thanks!

Hmmm, according to Summitt that's a "stock" height.

Cobra29, thanks for the positive comments. They are always appreciated and your installation looks great. In case anyone is interested, the kits are available for immediate shipment.

Here's a 427W that I just did for Mark Kassab. We used the Ford Racing pentroof style valve covers and they are very tall...

Anyone have the black pentroof ones on a polished engine? Curious to see what it looks like.

They are very tall. They would probably clear a stud girdle too.

They clear for sure. The misinfo is likely a carry over from the old Cobra valve covers sold by Ford. These units are very nice.

In which way? They're more like FE pentroofs...flat on top.
