Why I thought of that old Beach Boys song is beyond me BUT....I'm in dire need of a rebuildable 302 block. Yes, I scraped out my engine, Again. A dog bone roller lifter retainer broke, the lifter turned, scraped out my cam, sent crapola through the engine My stroker crank, rods, 7 pistons are still good but I need a block.
Does anyone have an old boat anchor laying around, hopefully fairly near AZ?

I picked up a 1990 Expedition 302 short block yesterday and delivered it to my machine shop. It supposedly had only 90,000 miles and ran when the engine was pulled. I'd taken a caliper to the salvage yard and the bore was an even 4.00" Should be good to go.

Steve, San Marcos is my goal. My son flew out from Ohio to go with me to last year's Spring Fling but the car was dead then. He's coming again this spring and we'll try to make it again.
