OK guys,

SB100 number gotten, CHP inspection done, Smog referee work done, do I still have to have a brake and light inspection. A couple of guys think it is no longer necessary? True or false?

SKipB, Dmv should have given you a copy of the Report of Deposit of Fees (form) and on the top half it should list all the things you need to comply with, like CHP, BAR, ect. if BRAKE/LAMP isn't listed you may not be required to do it. On mine I had Brake/Lamp plus post a Motor Vehicle Bond, but I'm having to go through the Re-Registration process. I was registered as a 1965.

Good Luck Rick

Skip,
It is hit and miss. Depends on the DMV office ytou are dealing with. Sometimes they tell you ahead of time that they will need it. Sometimes they don't say a word about it until you show up with the CHP and Smog documents to get your plates.
Often they don't require it at all. It is all part of the California Registration Lottery.

I got lucky, DMV didn't ask me for one. I was told that
Magic Tune & Brake
421 Santa Rosa Ave.
Santa Rosa can help you out.
Hope you're on the road soon, JT
