Who is casting this block? Vic?, Buddy Bar?
What's the price?

Don't expect an answer Larry.; I don't either. 8 posts in 2+ years-it's just an advertisement.
Wouldn't it be the same as a DART 302 aluminum block? Isn't the only difference the stroke?

From the Shelby site: Shelby Alloy 289 Block | Call Us @ 310-538-2914 | Carroll Shelby Engine Company

I thought I heard that Shelby Engine Company was sold.
We use their aluminum block in our Coupes. They are 331cid and produce 530hp.
From their website, the price is $6,995. Same as all of their other blocks (FE, 351, and 302).
$7000... I'll stick with cast iron.

Bill Mitchell Hardcore Racing Products - BMP SBF Aluminum Engine Block |
Shelby website says $8555.00, how can they sell them so cheap????
Buddy Bear Casting in California does their casting.
How is the $8,555 shelby aluminum block any better than the one from DART or BMP for far less?

That's what I thought

Bill DenBeste owns Shelby Engines now. Bill is a stand up guy and everything he does is FIRST CLASS--all the way. I would not hesitate to buy a Shelby Engines block from Bill--in fact, that is the block I will put in my own new Coupe :)
I'm sure DenBeste's blocks will be the best they can possibly be. He firmly stands behind his work. He demands the highest quality from us and I'm sure he does the same from all his employees and vendors. David :):):) |
