I can't see why the solenoid coil terminals have four wires. If you want to keep the solenoid, think about what is is really going on here. To me the black wire on the LH post goes to the starter solenoid, so which wire is the start signal wire, and then what are the other two for? This would be more appropriate: http://www.novaresource.org/starter.htm Gary |

A: Battery B: Switched battery current when starting S: Ignition switch 'start' position I: 12V current for coil for starting (full voltage instead of reduced voltage normally supplied when ballast resistor is used) |

I see that now. That's if he is using a ballast resistor ignition, no mention of that yet. Gary |
No ballast resistor (that I'm aware of). The "S" is connected to the spade lug on the PowerMaster solenoid, the "A" is connected to the "Battery" terminal on the PowerMaster solenoid.

You could remove this to tidy up the installation, unless you want it for authenticity? What ignition system are you using? Gary |

Ignition is MSD. |
