I'll give you three guess's

itstock 11-05-2012 03:23 PM

I don't stock much of anything. I stock (what some see)

I suck at investing. IT stock

PA license plates are 7 characters max. It is stock. ITSTOCK.

Option 3 is what my user name means. After driving a bunch of cars and always having been asked, "whats done to it", I just gave the asshole response of saying that my cars were stock.

Skuzzy 11-06-2012 11:50 AM

Many years ago I was a beach bum. One day I came to work and one of the guys looked at me and said, "Man, you are one skuzzy lookin guy.". It stuck, for a time.

Then I graduated from college, turned into a professional. Suits, and the whole bit. Got affiliated with the SCSI interface through Adaptec and not long after someone at a trade show introduced me as "Mr. SCSI" (pronounced skuzzy).

I paused and shook my head. Gave up fighting it and just owned the damn thing.

Given to me by my older brother. We rode dirt bikes together and what I lacked in talent I would just Hauss my way though. I rode a cr 500 and my brother rode a 250.

Hoodabest 07-16-2022 11:19 AM

Back in my machining days, a group of us who utterly refused to take ourselves seriously came up with a call and response "Hoodabest?...Yoodabest!!!"
This was almost universally called out to proclaim the achievement of something menial, insignificant, or otherwise beneath one's station.
The name stuck to me as the guy who, thanks to my "popularity" with the liberal management team, was usually delegated to clean up the messy jobs that no one else would or could do.

lal Naja 07-17-2022 09:34 PM

I was born in India and in 1956, at age 6, a real Cobra, the asp kind, got into our living room creating utter pandemonium and that got my attention. The household help fled in fear and for religious reasons, leaving my Dad and Mother to dispatch the sacred creature. Then in 1963 another Cobra got my attention, the Shelby kind, and I've been fang fast attached to the beast in different kind of religious experience. The language spoken in the region I lived in was Hindi and Lal Naja means Red Cobra.

Chicagowil 07-18-2022 07:14 AM

I had lived in the Chicago area since 1990. The "Wil" is the 1st have of my last name.

Just recently I had lived in Boston (wife took a job there). On another forum I'm know as Bostonwill while I built a Lotus 7 replica.

Now we just (permanently?) moved to our vacation home in Wisconsin.

And, NO. I will not change it to Wiwill! Too close to Wee Willie!

Early membership and lack of imagination I suppose.

1795 07-18-2022 07:44 AM

I tried several different cobra related names and kept getting denied, got frustrated and decided to go with 1795 because that was the year that the house that I was living in was built.

As you can well imagine, it's all about my last & favorite race car. The Ol' GTV and I (vintage) raced together for 16years. The day I brought (Such a crass word, when we met, that's better ;) ); we became (one). I was 7/10th a second a lap faster than the last owner by the end of the day. Not unlike my Cobras, I would go out to the garage and wax her, just feel the lines of my beautiful Italian Mistress. Still miss her. Cheers Tom. P.S. now you guys know all my Passwords

Old Stang 07-19-2022 11:11 AM

The first car I ever purchased/owned, through my Dad as I was only 15 yrs old at the time, was a 1969 mach 1, real 63c car, 351W-4v/auto, OEM T-code Candy Apple Red.
I went on to own a a 66 coupe and a couple of Fox bodies, 1990 & 1992 Notchback 5.0/5-spd cars... still have the 92.
As I am quickly approaching 60 years old... well, likely you can make the connection... LOL
