...because I like going slow ...:D

Flyin_Freddie 02-17-2003 11:24 AM

Damn near killed myself in a airplane once in plain view of several of my ne'er do well friends! "Flyin-Freddie" just stuck after that.

Besides, I used to go by the name "Large Richard", but the nickname kept getting me in trouble!

Blue66 02-17-2003 12:07 PM

Isn't it obvious?

E-mail is ClubV12,,,,,for Jagaur V-12's, my favorite!

When people ask what V12 stands for, I KNOW they aren't gear heads, lol.

Ernie (actually Veronica,,,,,,)

flipper35 02-17-2003 03:03 PM

Last name Dolphin, number is dad's.

southernfriedcj 02-17-2003 04:11 PM

It's supposed to be southernfriedcj8, but the "8" wouldn't fit. I'm into the Jeeps and am in the process of doing a frame off resto/mod on an '81 CJ8 (Jeep Scrambler) and am Southern born(neoredneck), so southernfriedcj8 is the handle.
I guess on this forum I'm Southernfriedcobrajet.:3DSMILE:

Ibr8k4vetts 02-17-2003 05:48 PM

Loadmaster 02-17-2003 06:28 PM

I'm just an old enlisted guy in the United States Air Force. I was a loadmaster on C-130s for 11 years and now I fly on the newest cargo aircraft in inventory, the C-17A.

Load clear..........

Jay-suss! Loadmaster!

So-o-o-o-o whaddya mean we can't load 38 cobras in that for Spring Fling III? C'mon---enlisted run EVERY branch of the service---I otta know--I were a Weapons officer in the flippin' Niveeee! Couldn'y youch nuttin' without my "sea-daddy" Gunnery Chief's permission! Now, let's get that four-engine pupplu lined up for air-delivery to Spring Fling. I know a high-powered JAG'll spriong you. Just land at Otis ASFB, Plattsburg, and a few otghers in Joisey, DC, the Carolinas--that'll be all that's needed!@

ac andy 02-17-2003 10:26 PM

ac andy,

My initials are AC, my business is AC Landscapes and that funny little English car with the big V8 originally came from AC Cars. I suppose I had no other choice!

Bannon 02-17-2003 10:43 PM

Mine is from my Cobra inspiration. I think I first saw the movie Gumball Rally when I was 15 or so and have wanted a Cobra ever since.
Mr. Bannon was the owner/driver of the Cobra in the movie.

trctrdrvr 02-17-2003 10:56 PM

Well I've been on a tractor since before I could reach the pedals, the first one was a Ford 6000 w/the first powershift I would just push it into neutral at the end of the field and my dad or brother would turn it around and off I would take again so trctrdrvr just seem to fit Don't get on them much now but do enjoy it when I can
Mike

Edley Rondinone 02-17-2003 10:59 PM

Edley Is a nickname for "Eddie" that I got when I was in the USAF stationed in Englend at RAF Greenham Common, the world's first operating ground-launched cruise missile (GLCM) base in the world. If you say "EDLEY" with a British accent (Ed-lay) it makes sense. Kinda sorta. Ask Wilf Leek. He'll know. Cheers!....................................Veronic a???.......................Is that YOU???.........................

G.R. 02-17-2003 11:53 PM

G.R. my initials--started using them to address the chief in boot when there were 2 Akins(no relation) in the company--chief told us that he couldn't keep us "dumb@****" straight, I would hence be known as seaman recruit G.R.--used it off and on over the years--
If I say anything here I would say the same to your face.:D

Veronica...Veronica ... where for art thou...?

G.R. 02-17-2003 11:56 PM

Talk about hi-jacking a thread-- I think this series of posts just Car-jacked a forum column--

Oh small-block.....:JEKYLHYDE

Aussie Mike 02-18-2003 02:12 AM

But soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and G.R is the sun.

750hp 02-18-2003 06:09 AM

Geez, Mike. You can re-engineer a shift linkage for a T56 AND recite poetry..... What can't you do!?! :MECOOL:

My user name has never been accurate. I've always had more or less horsepower than my name, but it all averages itself out in the long run.
