Weight is the enemy!
I think I've found my engine builder. ANyone know or had experience with Doug Jenkins at Custom Hot Rods in Missouri. He seems to run a good shop.
I've been wondering about the advantages (and disadvantages) of going for as much light weight as possible.
What are the pros and cons of an aluminum block and heads for a 351W engine? Any long term reliability issues? Any potential loss of power. I assume this is a more expensive route to travel.
I've always thought weight was the enemy in sports cars and losing 100 lbs over the front axle has some appeal.
Please help a rookie feeling his way.
