Question Header/sidepipe exhaust recommendation

I need a recommendation. I have a 355 sbc with ported aluminum heads (220cc intake runners, 10.5:1 compression), Comp Cams XR286R solid roller cam, forged bottom-end, Edelbrock Victor E manifold, Holley 1000 cfm throttle body, 36lbs/hr injectors, and a F.A.S.T. sequential fuel injection ECP. The engine has the potential for 500+hp but a free flowing exhaust system is key to passing that number. I am looking to put this in a Factory Five roadster but despite what their website says FFR could not give me any recommedations for exhaust headers and side pipes. Anyone out there tried putting a small-block chevy in a cobra? Don't be afraid to speak up. I'm looking for something with a minimum of one and three-fourths inch primaries and merges into a 3 inch collector. Any suggestions??

I know a bunch of you guys out there are cringing at the thought of a chevy powerplant in a cobra, but I already have the motor.

Thanks.

Gearhead,
Hear goes, I wouldn't use that motor, but if you already have it and arn't willing to sell it to buy a Ford engine, it will work. It's a known fact that there are some Cobras with Cheby powerplants. The Aussie guys do it all the time. Just install the engine, find someone to custom fab your headers to a set of the standard FF sidepipes. It's your car, have fun with it. But in the end, don't expect a good resale.
IMHO
Tim

Do a Search here for Tubular Automotive. They can sell you a set of flanges and misc. tube pieces for a custom set of build your own headers.
