I also have one under the hood of my 69 351 GT. the Paxton is not a problem for itself. On the first run I blew both head gaskets ...on the last, I over rev my windsor at 6000, made my valves float and distroyed it.Then I replaced the cast iron block with a aluminium 427 Man of War and the Paxton blew the gaskets again....The solution came with the addition of thick metal ones and a MSD to lower compression, decrease full advance. The only drawback is the lack of low rise intake manifolds ( I enlarged the hole under the hood scoop). To get a correct mileage, I plan for a AOD trans...Pure fun !

I checked at car review.com .The reviews for paxton Superchargers were quite grim. One reviewer compared them to Ebola virus ! The Powerdyne reviews were mixed.A lot of reviewers seem to feel they wasted there money
Maybe only people with bad experiences post reviews?

I have a Novi 2000 on a 347....wanna go for a ride.....:D
Seriously, Paxton/Vortech make a good part. I don't care much for the Powerdyne.
And that 6# on a stock bottom end makes good sense....just upgrade the pistons if you dial up the boost. The crank will always take more than the stock block will.
