I can buy a turkey pan at Wal-Mart for 12.95. Why do these Cobra ones cost $275.00???

Turkey Pan is a nickname. They are for lack of a better description, a cold air induction system. They seal to the bottom of the hood and only allow air from the scoop to be fed to the carb.

Just funnin, I have one on my Cobra. But it is amazing how a simple aluminum box can cost so much.

I made mine removable without taking carb off. Makes carb adjustments sooooooo much easier. Saw plans from another member that did it.
Personally I think they're cool looking. Other people say they limit the size of air cleaner which affects hp. On a car like this, what's a few horsepower? : : :

I think it's function is more of a heat shield than air box, all though there is some function of cold air from the scoop. And it does look cool!

It's both...and for drag racers/extremists, you can pack dry ice in it for ultimate cold air effect.

Just watch the ice doesn't jam under the throttle linkage
