Default 331 Test In Hrm

There is an interesting article about the Ford Racing crate 331 cu. in. in Hot Rod Magazine this month. Looks like a great option for an FIA.
Anyone have any experience with one?

Is it built with the new "Boss 302" block?

I think I would be a little concerned with the 12.5 compression ratio!! HP numbers are great though!! 530!!

530hp with only 331ci tells me that it wouldn't be nearly as streetable as a larger displacement engine. I haven't seen the article, but I would imagine that the hp peak is pretty high which may tend to make it a little fussy while you're driving downtown.

7,200 RPM. and yes it utilizes the new boss block. They said the dyno results were achieved using 91 octane

Smile horsepower

I call it "magazine horsepower".
Not real horsepower. Electric water pumps, special headers, high rpm cams, special carbs, intake and heads. All the tricks.

IMHO
