The 508 number was at the engine and the 560number was at the wheels. Both setups made around 500 hp at 5000rpms. I didn't run the engine on a dyno with the EFI but guessing on drive train loss it looks like the Weber's can compete under 5000 rpms. The EFI was able to keep up with the airflow all the way through the curve. The throttle bodies will flow 90 cfm more per barrel than the standard 48 IDA. Aside from horse power, the EFI is much easier to tune in my garage and runs so much smoother without any stumble. I built an engine to run at higher RPM's but the Weber's can't do that on a larger cubic inch engine.

I don't know when, but I'm going to buy one of these setups. I also would like to locate someone who knows what to do with a laptop in order to achieve peak operation. Dynatek referred me to someone is SoCal, when I'm located up in NorCal.

You really won't need the help. If you don't have a laptop, save the money you would be spending on a tuner and buy one. This system is so easy to manipulate that you can do it over the phone with Jason or Tom at Dynatek. I just recently downloaded my MAP program and sent it in for some adjustments. It is that easy. I get it back, download it to the car and see what happens. If it is worse I just download the first version and call Jason. I am not changing 8 different jets, emulsion tubes or chokes. It is just a few key strokes, a quick e-mail, plug in the USB cord and back on the road. I don't even smell like raw fuel when I come in for dinner anymore! When you get use to the software you can bring the laptop with you in the car and make changes as you go. Pretty cool stuff.

I watched the guy from APE map it out at KC, and it was very easy to do. Eric |
OK, now that I hired myself for the computer work, can you find someone in NorCal who can properly install it? I know I can't install it. A man has to know his own limitations.
