If you do not have "SPF" in your profile, stay off this thread.

Thanks

I think the comments of most of the non SPF posters on the Superformance forum have been useful. After all, Cobra replicas of all brands have a lot in common and their owners have a lot to share. The only real problem I've noticed since I've been reading this forum is PatrickT. How about selectively removing the real offenders instead?

UPDATE: As of June 30th, SCOF membership totals 249 including 10 from Canada, 8 from Europe, 2 from Australia, and 1 each from Mexico, Japan and South Africa. More than 90 percent of SCOF members are from the U.S.

Whatever happened on this, Frank sign up?

Frank has not signed up yet Eric. We have a great group there though and SCOF is the place to be. It is better than ever and the change has been fabulous. Gotta run and get back to SCOF....see ya.

Got the Bug 09-14-2010 05:16 PM

How many people are on SCOF today? It looks like the number is just about 10% of the total number of chassis' built to date.

gary osborne 09-14-2010 05:38 PM

First of all, I don't know how many members we have because I have not counted them. What I DO know is that most of us are far more interested in the quality of the forum which directly reflects the quality of the membership and it is better than ever right now. I also know that we have far more than we predicted we would have which also makes us happy. The forum has always represented a minority of SPF owners. Part of that is due to the number of SPF owners who do not even know SCOF exists. Others simply do not have time to participate in a email type forum. It is funny to see how many x-members still pop up asking why they can no longer access the information after their memberships were deleted months ago....LOL. That just shows they don't use it much. There are always a lot of lurkers on any forum. When it costs money to play, the ones who spend all the their time on the bench not contributing or benefiting tend to leave....which is fine in my personal opinion. It certainly does not feel like there are fewer members and some who were lurkers in the past now contribute regularly. So for my money, it really is better than ever and I loved it before.

Well I'm digging up an old thread, but there is a reason for this that I though I would share with everyone.

We are coming up on the one year anniversary of when I sent some money to a person so they could sign up on SCOF.

That person never signed up, nor did they return the money. Was I ripped off? I guess I was, but over the years I have helped out a lot of people I have known, and this will not stop me from doing so in the future. However I will probably make sure I know the person a little better next time.

Just thought I would let everyone know what happened.

I read that post and chuckled.

Ditto to the Gary Osborne post!

SCOF is not about the numbers, but the quality of the members. I don't get here to CC often enough, but that is mostly a time constaints. As far as Cobra friends go, SCOF is my first priority. Next January will be my 10th anniversary with my Superformance and I know the only reason it has lasted this long is because of SCOF. Lots of great friends!

I've had my Cobra a mere 3 yrs and and found the top ace's at Scof very helpful. The only reason i bowed out is because they live east of the Rockies. You guys need to consider coming to California, the land of foreclosures and short sales and more sun and fun! Anyway, thanks for helping getting 1721 dialed in.
