One of the intentions was for the FIA to race in historics and Dennis Olthoff says no worries as he has spoken to various sanctioning bodies explaining how close it is to the 1964 period cars. As the originals become more valuable and owners race them less, I would love to see some of these crowd pleasers doing battle on the tracks.
Thanks Jeff, look forward to coming down to your part of the world and seeing your project. The factory is 100% geared up and the first couple on the line. Ross, the final pricing will be finished today. Ross |

I dunno. I'm just plain curious. Am I a buyer right now? Probably not. |

Ross,
Beautiful car ... can't wait to see the finished product, congrats! |
Are there different options on the car?
Specifically, when I look at the two examples on your website, the car with the silver sidepipes, seem to resemble big block pipes (extended beyond the body). While the car with the black pipes has the proper 289 undercar pipes. Am I seeing this correctly? other than than, this puppy would be a mean mutha with a 289 and some Webers. |
John,
An undercar system is standard, the "Ken Miles" sidepipes are optional. The sidepipe system is as was used on some FIA cars, it comes out under the body and runs along the rocker. Quite different from a 427 Comp system. There are several options to make the car replicate several versions of the smallblock, ie. a choice of FIA or USRRC dash layouts, with or without the FIA trunk dimples, vinyl or leather seats, etc. A full range of stripes, team I.D. stripes, painted wheel centers and more are optional. The chassis comes with a Jag type Salisbury diff, but the alloy "Cobra" Salisbury is optional for those who want absolute replication. We can even supply the solid rotors and Girling calipers for a princely sum! Soft top and side curtains, tonneau cover, carpets and other creature comforts are optional. And yes, a nice 289/302 with 8 stack would look just perfect not to mention going like stink! |
What is the color ??
Are the cars Viking Blue/Princess Alice Blue ?? Is that color different from the Portofino Blue available on the Mark III ? Thanks in advance for your help.
|
Build sheets/options/pricing is available. Please send me a private message with your email address and I will send it to you.
Thanks everyone for the posts! |
Bartruff1,
The Viking Blue is Ross's interpretation of the "Original"...which is different than the Superformance Portofino Blue. From a distance one might be able to say they look "similar", however, if they are next to one another, there is a drastic difference! Hope this helps! |
The car is Viking Blue, we offer the correct color as well as the Guardsman Blue and also custom colors.
|
Great looking car, can't wait to see one in person.
