Remote brake fluid reservoir
 
I'm looking to adding either the Kirkham or Kugel remote brake/clutch fluid reservoirs to my SPF. My question is regarding the neccessary hose adapters to fit the reservoir holes on the ATE master cylinder. Has anyone done this mod to a SPF and what parts were used?

I think it was Olthoff that made a kit for this that was pretty nice.

Give them a call and see it they were the ones, or know who it was.

If not, then call Randy at Cobra Valley. He will know for sure.

Have done the same with the reservoirs from Kirkham and the fittings and
braided lines from Olthoff. Looks great and works. You will loose the low brake fluid warning buzzer. Hardest part was to make and install an adapter plate for the reservoirs at the firewall.

Refer to this thread I posted last winter for how I did it.....

You can get a complete kit from Dennis over at Olthoff Racing I believe. I think most of the SPF owners in Memphis have made the same modification with parts from Dennis.

I have the canisters on order from Kirkham but I still haven't decided whether to do braided or hard lines from the canisters. Are the fittings at the master cylinder pressed into the rubber seal or are they threaded into the master cylinder?

Pressed in. It takes some effort to remove the old master cylinder reservoir due to the ungainly location. Just lube up the rubber grommets and the fittings pop in pretty easily.

I went with braided lines for convenience. I did not want to be bending lines and then trial fitting them around the brake power booster for hours and hours.
