Default My big day

Been a long wait, finally at Olthoff. Always wanted a Cobra.

Thanks to Rick Muck for putting up with all my emails.

Best,

Ron

Really nice looking car Ron. Congratulations.
Will you be doing a build thread so we can drool further?
Nice looking engine as well, and very appropriate looking too. Any chance of some details of the engine specs, gearbox and final drive ratio?
Cheers,
Glen

I'll post upload some pics, but learned not to do my own builds some years ago.

Chassis is a Superformace (obviously)

Engine was built by Bill Parham. 325ci Boss block 425hp. I had the block bored against a 3" stroke to keep the same over square dimensions of the original 289ci and tried to match the original HP range. Induction was built by Jim Inglese with original fittings and the FIA water neck.

5speed Tremec and a 3.55 rear end.

Although not on yet, a Smiths tach is going in the car and I'll have a secondary fuel tank put in (all the plumbing is done).

Over time I'll personalize it a bit. Maybe the bull bar on the original, or a rally instrument pack.

I'll keep everything period.

Best,

Ron

Where can I get those valve covers? Will they clear roller rockers?

Call Bill and Sue Parham at Southern Automotive. I told them what I wanted and they provided it.

I was quoted as high as $350 for them from other sources. Their pricing was very reasonable on the valve cover upgrade.

Ron,

No problem. trust me, you are not "high maintainence" compared to some. In fact, the record for phone calls/emails is held by someone who has yet to purchase a car! After over two years of calls!

FIAs for sale, FIAs for sale.........Who's next?

And 289 street cars also!

I'd love to, but I'm not sure Dennis will have it done by then. It is the first Saturday in November right? I live about 10min from the Hardees on Creedmoor.

The car looks great, and I am sure Olthoff will do a nice job with the installation.

I look forward to seeing the car in Raleigh sometime.

Congratulations!
