I Look forward to it. I've had the steering wheel off already so no problem there. Your instructions and materials were great for the fuse cover so I expect everything will be complete to do the job. Thanks, Mark |

Yep, you'll like. I may even source the bulb holder for you too. I can give you the links to the rest of the lights as well, and ignition switch if you want- Best- J |

I look forward to installing the light but can use all the help you can give. What's the story on the ignition switch? How is it different than what I got with my CSX8000? Thanks, Mark |
Is it not the same ignition switch as used on Mustangs?
Available from MustangsUnlimited and other sources. |

The ignition switch in you car isn't the switch used in MK II 289 Cobras. As ALF mentioned below, it is a Fairlane (later, Mustang) switch. I can give you the part numbers for the switch and wiring pigtail, and more important the schematic to mate the pigtail to your CSX wiring. |

And the rest of the knobs (heater, vents, etc.) are Ford items from the early sixties and differ from what we supply with the chassis. Due to issues the factory and Shelby decided to use the knobs and switches used in the 427 cars.
Jeff has done a wonderful job of retrofitting his SPF with the original type units. We can supply the parts for those who want to take their 289 car to the next level of "original" I am currently doing the build-out on my chassis and have incorporated several of the details to make it closer to a 1964 series 289. |

I would appreciate it if you would give me the part numbers and schematic. Thanks in advance. Mark |

Congrats on making your own car. Ross sent me some pictures. I think it's a great color combination. Send me info for the original knobs and switches that you can provide for the CSX and SPF slabsides. Thanks, Mark |
Original Ford harness leaf spring cars had Ford headlight switch, ignition switch and heater switch. Wiper switch was still British Lucas but with Ford knob. The two-speed wiper switch and bezel is very rare now.

Hi Larry
I assume you're referring to the Lucas wiper switch PRS 7. Could you please provide a picture or more details about the bezel you did mention in your post. Thanks ALF |

Could you please provide them to me as well. Many thanks ALF |

The bezel nut has a bevel that faces outward. Looks like this: (this is before I had mine rechromed) Larry http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...psvyrhlh7b.png |
Hi Larry
Thanks for the picture. Yes you would need a Lucas DR3 (2 speed) wiper motor and the correct switch. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/atta...-parts-004.jpg And the standard bezel on my switch http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/pict...ictureid=15272 but your bezel looks much nicer :) |
The chrome headlight switch and heater switch bezels are Falcon.

Hi Larry
Can I use the Falcon heater switch bezel with the Lucas switch? Thanks for your confirmation |
Ive never tried it but my first thought would be no. I would think the Lucas switch would have BSW threads and the the Falcon bezel wouldn't. Some are close though but I've never tried it.

I did missundestand your post
Sorry for that |
